Advisory · AI Integration · Energy & Utilities
We help your team read paperwork.
Operational decisions stay with your engineers.
A careful, bounded AI assist for reporting and correspondence — outside any control system. ST and PDPA-aware advisory for Malaysian energy and utilities operators.
Our Engagements
Three Carefully Scoped Services
Each engagement is sized for the actual work — no module bundles, no software you are obliged to run. A brief, a pilot, or an ongoing advisory: you choose what fits your team.
Operations Reading Review
We sit with your asset management lead, customer service head, and one regulatory officer. We read a sample of recent reports, correspondence, and incident notes, then write a brief on where AI summarisation could carefully reduce reading load — outside any control system.
- ST and SEDA-aware scope
- Human-led review of outputs
- No integration with operational technology
Reporting & Correspondence Pilot
A measured deployment of an AI drafting assist for your reporting team and customer correspondence. The system drafts memos and replies; humans confirm everything. Read-only integration, outside any operational technology environment.
- Six-week supervised period
- Training for two officers
- Usage policy aligned with ST and PDPA
Quarterly Stewardship
A monthly advisory engagement for operators whose teams already use AI assists in administrative and reporting work. Each quarter we sample outputs, audit boundaries, and write a brief for the chief operations officer.
- Alignment with ST, SEDA and PDPA
- Quarterly output sampling & audit
- Yearly written summary for your board
Why Damai
What sets our approach apart
Bounded by Design
Our AI assist is read-only and limited to administrative and reporting layers. It is never positioned near SCADA-adjacent control loops. Your operations engineers remain sole decision-makers.
Regulatory Alignment
All engagements are designed with reference to the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA), and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA 2010).
Human Confirmation at Every Step
Drafts are drafts. No correspondence leaves without a human confirming it. We build workflows where your team retains clear sign-off authority on every output.
Data Stays with You
We work with your documents on infrastructure you control. No third-party training on your asset data. No retention of sensitive correspondence outside your own systems.
Plain Written Deliverables
You receive a brief, not a dashboard. Our findings and recommendations are written for the operations officer level — clear language, tabular where useful, ready for your board file.
Sized for Your Team
Each engagement is scoped to what your team can actually absorb. We do not propose large-scale deployments before we understand your reading and correspondence volume at the operational level.

Is there a reading backlog in your reporting team?
A short conversation is often enough to know whether an Operations Reading Review would be worth your time. No commitment, no proposal until you ask for one.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the AI system connected to our SCADA or operational technology infrastructure?
No. Damai's services are explicitly limited to administrative and reporting layers — documents, memos, and customer correspondence. We do not propose, design, or support any integration with SCADA systems, control loops, or operational technology networks. That boundary is non-negotiable in our engagement scope.
How does the AI drafting assist work in practice for our reporting team?
The system reads a source document — an incident note, a customer complaint, a regulatory submission draft — and produces a summary or a reply draft. Your team member reviews it, edits as needed, and sends or files it. The AI does not send anything independently. Every output requires a human to confirm it.
Are your engagements aligned with Malaysia's PDPA 2010 and ST licensing requirements?
Yes. We design each engagement with explicit reference to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) licensing conditions, and where applicable, SEDA guidelines. Our usage policies for the pilot and stewardship engagements document data handling, retention, and access controls in alignment with these requirements.
What is included in the Operations Reading Review?
We arrange working sessions with your asset management lead, customer service head, and one regulatory officer. We review a sample of recent reports, correspondence, and incident notes. We then write a brief identifying where AI summarisation could reduce reading load without touching operational systems. This deliverable is typically five to eight pages and includes a recommended scope for any next step.
How long does the Reporting & Correspondence Pilot take?
The supervised period runs for six weeks. Within that window we deploy the drafting assist, train two officers, and monitor usage. At the end we write a summary of what worked, what needed adjustment, and what policies should remain in place before any wider use. You can stop at the end of the six weeks with a clean handover document.
Does Damai retain any of our asset data or correspondence after an engagement?
We do not retain operational data, customer correspondence, or asset management records after an engagement concludes. Working documents shared during a review are handled under a confidentiality agreement and returned or destroyed per the agreed data handling terms before the engagement closes.
What does the Quarterly Stewardship engagement deliver each quarter?
Each quarter we sample a selection of AI-assisted outputs from your team, audit whether boundaries and usage policies are being followed, and write a brief for your chief operations officer. This brief notes any drift from the agreed scope and recommends corrections. At the end of each year we produce a summary suitable for your board or audit file.
